Indigenous Peoples are severely impacted by climate change yet have limited opportunities to impact the UNFCCC negotiations related to preventing and redressing Loss and Damage and respecting their rights in this regard. This side event will highlight key areas of negotiation at COP 28 and opportunities for Indigenous Peoples’ engagement in relevant processes including the proposed funding mechanism and grievance procedure.
