Special Rapporteur’s call for contributions to non-state actors extended

The Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights to Safe Drinking Water and Sanitation is preparing his thematic report “The right to safe drinking water and sanitation of indigenous peoples: current situation and lessons from ancestral cultures”. The report seeks to identify the problems that affect the human rights to water and sanitation of Indigenous Peoples worldwide and the lessons learned and knowledge of Indigenous Peoples in water management, ecosystems, as well as recommendations from Indigenous Peoples.

In August 2021, the Special Rapporteur called for contributions to non-state actors. The call has been extended until 20 January.
