This side-event will provide information and updates on the development of the new mechanism
on international repatriation of ceremonial objects and human remains, and will present next
steps under consideration. It will also provide an opportunity to share specific cases and ongoing
challenges faced by Indigenous Peoples in achieving international repatriation.
