IITC delegates Chief Gary Harrison, Angel Valencia, and Andrea Carmen joined Indigenous representatives from other regions in a “listening session” today with ambassador John Kerry, head negotiator for the US at COP 28. Delegates shared the impacts of the climate crisis in their homelands and also requested the support of the US to include the rights and participation of Indigenous Peoples in the key negotiations here including Just Transition.
