UN Indigenous Peoples and Toxics Consultation, Session 1

Indigenous Peoples are cordially invited by the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Toxics and Human Rights Dr. Marcos Orellana to participate in a consultation for his current Study on Toxics and the Rights of Indigenous Peoples for presentation to the UN General Assembly in 2022

 

The Consultation will be carried out in 3 sessions to accommodate Indigenous Peoples from different time zones and regions:

 

Africa and Sami – May 19th, 7 am – 9 am PDT

 

1. May 17th, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Eastern Daylight (New York) time

Focusing on Indigenous Peoples in the Americas, Caribbean and the Alaska and Canadian Arctic

 

2. May 18th, 10:00 pm – 12:00 am Eastern Daylight (New York) time

Focusing on Indigenous Peoples in Asia, the Pacific and Russia

 

3. May 19th, 10 am – 12:00 pm Eastern Daylight (New York) time

Agendas and concept note will be provided in English, Spanish, French, Russian and Portuguese to registrants by May 12, 2022.  Interpretation will be provided in languages appropriate to the respective regions for each consultation.
