All delegations attending UNFCCC SBSTA 58 are invited to a special side event:
INDIGENOUS PEOPLES’ PERSPECTIVES ON LOSS AND DAMAGE

WEDNESDAY JUNE 7TH, 2023 10:15-11:30 AM
Kaminzimmer Room (110 pax), World Conference Center, Bonn Germany

Indigenous Peoples are severely impacted by climate change yet have had few opportunities to dialogue with bodies addressing Loss and Damage at the UNFCCC such as the WIM ExCom and its expert groups. This roundtable dialogue intends to advance mutual understanding through exchange of views, information and experiences and promote the effective engagement of Indigenous Peoples in relevant Loss and Damage processes and bodies, including the new funding mechanism decided at COP 27.

Co-sponsored by: The International Indian Treaty Council, Inuit Circumpolar Council, Assembly of First Nations and the Saami Council

Interpretation will be provided in Spanish and English
